Select a Chapter Enhanced EMT-B PPT Presentations
Cover

To keep your course on the cutting-edge, Jones and Bartlett Publishers has recently published an enhanced PowerPoint presentation to accompany the Ninth Edition. These robust presentations feature:

  • Flash™ animations that illustrate critical concepts.
  • Video clips that bring hands-on skills to life.
  • Review questions complete with detailed rationales to wrap up your lesson.

Please note:

  • The animations and videos will only work if PowerPoint is in Slide Show mode. To go to Slide Show Mode, with the PowerPoint file open, go to View > Slide Show. This will make the presentation full screen, and any animations or videos on a slide should play.
  • These PowerPoint presentations are best viewed on a PC. The Flash animations and videos are not supported by PowerPoint on the Mac.

To view a sample chapter of the enhanced PowerPoint presentation, please review the detailed instructions provided below before clicking on the chapter links. You must save and extract the files in order to view the animations and videos provided.

Instructions for downloading and unzipping the file

When you click on one of these links above, you should see the following prompt that you are about to download a zip file:

On this prompt, click the "Save" button:

A Save As box will appear, and you can choose where to save the zip file.

When you have finished downloading the zip file, you must extract the files from the zip before you can use them. To do this, right-click on the zip file you downloaded and choose "Extract All..."

This will launch the Extraction Wizard. Click the Next button.

The next screen will allow you to choose where on your computer to extract the files to. The default location is where the zip file is currently located. Click the Next button.

Once this is processed, a new folder is created next to your zip file, with the same name as the zip file. The Extraction Wizard screen changes to this final screen. Clicking the finish button will open the newly created folder. The PowerPoint file inside is now ready to use.
